Donate today to support the Malon D. Mimms Boys & Girls Club in Cherokee County!
Boys & Girls Clubs across Atlanta are uniting for Great Futures Week 2021 - March 29 through April 2 - to showcase the potential of our young leaders and to highlight the vision our kids have for the future.
Young voices have power. Through Boys & Girls Club programs like Keystone Club and Youth of the Year, kids and teens are developing a passion for service and are leading in their schools, Clubs, and communities.
Thanks to your support, we see our Club members thriving in life and creating a brighter future for the world.
Meet Selena Edwards - Youth of the Year for the Malon D. Mimms Boys & Girls Club.
“I realized through the Club that I was just as worthy of great things as anyone else.”
Selena Edwards is in the 11th and has dreams of becoming a cosmetologist. She started attending the Club in 2017, and has flourished throughout her time there, becoming a true leader among her peers.
As the 2020 YOY for Mimms, she says her Club is important to her because she can leave her troubles behind, focusing on her new Club family and opportunities at the Club. Selena says her Club has helped her find her voice, and realized through the Club that she was as worthy of great things as anyone else.
As a Club member, Selena is a part of Keystone Club, and has explored her future career, cosmetology, through hands on workshops at the Club. Selena volunteers with younger members of the Club.
Make your gift today and help Cherokee County reach our goal of raising $1,000 by April 2!
