Sirius peacefully works as a therapy horse at PBJ Connections. Sirius is happy and loves people, food, his horse family, the donkeys, Cupcake the Pig, working in sessions, getting a bath, being ridden, being talked to … well you get the picture. In sessions he can be very quiet and tender when it’s needed. One can sit and talk with him for hours.
Recently Sirius worked with an adult who had lost a parent and was having trouble working through the anger stage. The facilitators sent them out to explore their anger with Sirius and soon tears were flowing. About 30 minutes later the adult could clearly articulate their feeling of loss that had fueled their anger.
All money raised in Sirius' name goes to PBJ Connections to provide counseling to those who can't afford it.
PBJ Connections provides professional behavioral health therapy to children, adults and families through horses, counseling and nature. Some of our clients are displaying behavior problems and some have a mental health diagnosis. Many are having situational difficulties and are looking for a little extra help with problem solving.
