Megan was a high school English teacher who inspired her students to appreciate the classics by transforming her classroom into a scene from Othello or showing up in class dressed as a character from The Great Gatsby. In 2008 Megan suffered a traumatic brain injury that left her without the ability to put thoughts and words together in a coherent manner. She is now an author and an advocate for Traumatic Brain Injury awareness. Despite her accomplishments, Megan continues to live with an invisible disability that keeps her from fully engaging with her community like she once did.
Any donations made to Megan will be used to help her continue her work as an author, speaker, and advocate for those suffering the invisible disability of Traumatic Brain Injury.
