🇭🇹 🌍 🇭🇹 🌍 🇭🇹 🌍 🇭🇹

From all over the world, we walk as one.

In cities around the world, Haitians and friends of Ayiti will come together to symbolically walk the 4-mile path leading up to La Sitadèl in Ayiti. This iconic fortress—one of the greatest architectural achievements in world history—was built to defend Ayiti’s hard-won independence following the Haitian Revolution. Walking this path symbolically places participants in the footsteps of thousands of Haitians who courageously fought for their freedom.

Participating in United in Legacy is a powerful act of remembrance and commitment—honoring their sacrifice while advancing the vision of a prosperous Ayiti.

On September 20, 2025—the birthday of Jean-Jacques Dessalines, leader of the Haitian Revolution and Ayiti’s first head of state—teams across the globe will walk in solidarity. Funds raised will go toward building sustainable wealth in Ayiti through the Ayiti Community Trust.

Why We Walk

🌍 To remember the power of our history.

🌍 To connect with our roots and each other.

🌍 To raise funds for Ayiti Community Trust’s mission to build a sustainable Ayiti.

Where We Walk

Teams are forming in cities around the world: Miami, Boston, Atlanta, Cap-Haïtien, New York, Maryland, Chicago, Indianapolis, Houston, Orlando, Berlin, Frankfurt, Qatar, and Norway.
