As 2021 comes to a close all of us at the Utah Society for Environmental Education want to warmly thank you for your continued support in making our 40th Anniversary year one for the record books. As we look towards 2022 and the next 40 years, we invite you to be a part of our community of environmental educators as we look to build upon our vision for environmental education in Utah.

This year, USEE was able to bring on a new Program Coordinator, break ground on developing an environmental literacy plan for Utah, and provide quality professional learning opportunities for over 150 educators across the state. We can’t do this without your continued support. Fortunately, we have allies in this endeavor. The Pisces Foundation, a major support of our work, has offered a $20,000 match to assist in our fundraising efforts. Your end of year contributions will help us meet this ambitious goal to ensure that environmental education is seen as education and is part of the school day for all students in Utah.

While USEE advocates for these efforts, the real heroes are the people that we support, like Hilary Lambert, CEO of the Wasatch Mountain Institute, who delivers programs to students, igniting their love of nature. Hilary notes that "the professional resources and networking connections we gain from our membership with the Utah Society for Environmental Education help elevate the rigor of our programs and create lasting collaborations and partnerships that help our organization to thrive."
