We're participating in the 2020 Rock Family of Companies Community Challenge! Please make a donation today to support our mission and help us win prizes! This challenge lasts throughout August and each week, we will be eligible for additional donations and prizes.
It's not about how much you give - THE IMPORTANT THING IS THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUAL DONORS WHO GIVE. Thank you all for your support!
About us:
The Whaley Historic House Museum is the historic home of Robert and Mary McFarlan Whaley, who lived in the home from 1885-1925.
We not only tell the history of the McFarlans and Whaleys, two prominent families, but also the history of Flint at a time of profound change. In addition to preserving the house and collections, and providing relevant history programs to our visitors, the museum tries to live up to the benevolence and civic-mindedness of the Whaley family. Their generosity and care for Flint is evident in the legacy they left behind.
Their home is now a historic house museum open to the public for tours, programs, and events. It is our mission to encourage, coordinate, and bring about a greater public interest in our heritage and to assist any organization in Genesee County of Michigan whose particular purpose is consistent with our association's.
