The Wingman Foundation (www.wingmanfoundation.org) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that steps in to provide financial assistance to affected service members and their families in the immediate aftermath of a naval aviation mishap. Since their founding in late 2014, The Wingman Foundation has been able to support every single Class A (fatal) mishap in the Navy and Marine Corps in some way, whether it was something as simple as providing flowers at a memorial service, to flying entire families across the country and around the world, paying for their rental cars, hotel expenses, and even catering for a memorial receptions. TWF’s support does not stop there. Once the dust has settled and families have had some time to process the initial shock-waves of grief, any additional funds raised can be used by the family or squadron to continue honoring their Sailor’s or Marine’s legacy. This support continues on — in the months and years after a mishap through TWF’s Physical Memorials Program.
The organization would like to invite you to participate in the fundraising effort as we compete in the 2020 Mint 400 Military Challenge. This challenge will take place 3-8 March 2020, in the desert surrounding Las Vegas NV. Our team of Sailors and Marines (both veterans and active duty) compete against other services in an effort to raise awareness for the needs of fellow service members, and of most importance, the families that support them.
