Camp Erin provides a FREE weekend long bereavement camp for children grieving the loss of a parent, sibling or significant person in their life. Since 2012, we have offered a healing weekend that combines grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. Led by bereavement professionals and trained, compassionate volunteers, campers are provided a safe environment to explore their grief, learn essential coping skills, and make friends with peers who are grieving.

Camp Erin has been an amazing and emotional journey watching campers transform from scared, withdrawn grieving children to children who realize they are not alone and understand it's ok to feel some joy and even laugh.

Throughout the weekend, children have the opportunity to experience traditional camp activities.  In addition, they spend time together sharing stories about their loved ones and learning to grieve and heal with the support of grief guides, bunk counselors and each other.

The campers leave with:

  - a sense of personal growth,

  - the understanding and comfort of knowing they are not alone,

  - the knowledge they have tools to make their journey easier, and

  - a broadened network of friends for support who understand.

Camp Erin is truly a special safe place where children can go and be themselves as they learn to live with the loss of a loved one.

Please join our Camp Erin team reach more children this summer. We are a non-profit 501(3)(C) and depend on the generosity of family, friends and community to make our vision a reality. We have not held a bowling event for four years and are excited to get together for a great cause.
