Recovering from the trauma of trafficking is hard, like running a marathon, swimming the English Channel, or climbing a mountain. And then waking up the next day and climbing another, and so on, every day of a survivors early recovery.
So, in solidarity with the women in Amirah's program, from June 27th-July 3rd, Randal Pekari, Mike Distefano, and John Hiley are going to "Move" mountains!
We're attempting to complete 25 peaks in 5 days, traversing the Appalachian Trail through the White Mountains in New Hampshire (to the boarder of Maine). We will cover 80+ miles, 25 4,000+ ft. peaks (plus other smaller peaks), and over 30,830 ft elevation gain.
For context, Mt. Everest is 29,031.7 ft - what have we done?
This will be the hardest thing we've ever done - but it will be worth it. If you'd like to support the cause, give $25, $250, or $2500 now (or anything in between). Each dollar goes directly to survivors of sex trafficking who are on their recovery journey.
Can't wait!!
