The IWMF wellness community began in May 2021, when we started our first free Chair Yoga for WM classes on Zoom. Since then, we have become a tight knit community that anyone is welcome to join. Through donations and feedback, the IWMF Wellness Program was born and continues to evolve!
Our program offers a range of evidence-based wellness classes tailored to meet the needs of individuals living with Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia. Yoga, T'ai chi, Meditation, Wellness Webinars and more help support our patients every step of the way on their journeys.
Help us empower our WM friends to take exquisite care of themselves, for improved quality of life and better patient outcomes!
“This is a beautiful service you share with an underserved, unrecognized community. I have never met someone with my cancer. Your class helps me to feel more connected to my new reality and to others who are living it—not quite so alone.” – Jody, WM patient
Our support chat that follows many of our live classes sets us apart from other organizations in the cancer field. We provide a hosted, global platform that enables participants to share their unique journeys. This sense of community plays an important therapeutic role in our program.
The IWMF Wellness Program is coordinated by Ann Grace MacMullan, a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and yoga instructor (E-RYT 500). She enjoys uplifting the WM community through breath-connected movement, mindfulness, and by creating a supportive group environment on Zoom. Her father was diagnosed with WM in 2019.
