My team is trying to raise money for our butterfly garden as well as a small nonprofit organization called Keep Waco Beautiful. They pick up trash, renovate old buildings, clean up alleys and plant gardens in the city to help with pollution and make the air safer to breath. They also sponsor local events like Earth Day gatherings and Ground Hog Day. A couple months ago, my team decided to start a trash pickup weekly on Wednesdays. We would walk around a couple blocks close to our school with safety gloves and and a safety vest. We would pick up in the alleys and find all kinds of things like pots and socks, old tires and trash. It was very clear that it was needed. We sought the help of Keep Waco Beautiful. Thanks to them we adopted our street and now we do it every single week. Each time we went there there was less and less trash until eventually we didn't have to do it anymore because there wasn't any trash. If we can get enough money to get more supplies to be able to do that a lot of people can help out and then our city will be so much cleaner. I want to get money to get supplies and be able to help Keep Waco Beautiful. This will help my team to go out and find the people that care. I hope you do.
