Who We Are

The Arc of Riverside County is a private, non-profit corporation serving adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, a population typically underserved, overlooked and devalued by society.  These are among the many reasons we take pride in providing much-needed services for these individuals; services including day services, vocational and job training, life skills training, job placement, advocacy and more.

The Arc operates six (6) facilities in Western Riverside County providing services for those in need of full-time programming to ensure the development and maintenance of functional skills required for self-advocacy, community integration and self-care.  Over the years, The Arc has significantly increased the quality of life for the individuals we serve.

Our Mission

Since 1953, The Arc has been and continues to be committed to securing for all individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, in partnership with their families, legal guardians or conservators the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work and play.

The Arc is further committed to reducing the incidence and limiting the consequence of intellectual and other developmental disabilities through education, research, advocacy and the support of families, friends and the community.

Our Services

Adult Day Services

The goal of our Resource Centers is to provide long-term services to adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.  Our services are for those who are in need of full-time programming to ensure the development and maintenance of the functional skills required for self-advocacy, community integration, employment and self-care.

Job Training, Job Placement & Supported Employment

The placement of our clients in supported employment within our community is a key component of our overall mission.  The Arc’s job training program creates and provides job opportunities for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
Help us place willing and able workers in jobs throughout the community, individually and in groups.

Subcontracting Services

Our two Advance Enterprises locations offer subcontracting services to companies throughout the United States.  Our services include kitting, rework, skin packaging, shrink wrapping, heat sealing, collating and sorting, decaling and labeling, small parts assembly, and much more.

Let us bid on contract work that our trained and eager employees can complete efficiently and in a timely manner.

My Play Club®

The Arc of Riverside County hosts My Play Club®, a monthly play date program for children with and without disabilities, designed to promote inclusion and break down barriers. On the third Saturday of each month, The Arc brings families together at Riverside’s Fairmount Park Universally Accessible Playground to participate in a fun-filled event bringing friendship and awareness to hundreds of children in the community.

“This is the kind of event that is helping Riverside become a city of diversity and inclusion,” said Mike Gardner, City Councilman for Ward 1.  “When children with and without disabilities play together they’re learning that they have much more in common than they have differences. It is wonderful to see so many families benefit from this great facility.”

My Play Club was originated by Shane’s Inspiration, a non-profit organization devoted to creating inclusive playgrounds and programs that unite children with all abilities. My Play Club is co-sponsored by Riverside’s Parks and Recreation Department and the Inland Empire Health Plan. It is also endorsed by the Commission on Disabilities for the city of Riverside.
