Anti-Hunger initiative: Feed a Student
$0 Raised
Four out of ten students in the small town of Tebasise go to school empty stomach. Tebassie is a small town in Ethiopia. About 80% of this small town's population lives under the poverty line. Hope 4 Tebassie (H4T), a small NGO, is working in Tebassie to reverse daily starvations experienced by children while in school. Our motto is 'no child should be in school with an empty stomach.' We took this as a moral imperative, providing two meals a day for students from impoverished families.
We believe children are the future, and our moral responsibility is to ensure that they succeed and become responsible citizens. Our Anti-Hunger initiative program provides meals to twenty-five children from low-income families. We implemented a Pilot school meal program in January 2022 for elementary school students. Since then, our intervention has led to improvement in attendance rate and academic performance for those twenty-five students. However, the need is increasing daily, and our ability to meet the increasing demand depends on donations from kind people like you. Donations collected from the Give 8/28 will bring in the most needed food supply and keep children in school. The donation will also help expand our meals program for forty more students on the waitlist for the coming school year due to a lack of funds.
IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD, AND WE HOPE TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
