$10,000 Goal

We are fundraising for a virtual series of free art and textile art activities for Morningstar Arts Creative Project S.M.A.R.T (Studio's Making Art And Reproduction Textiles) Our organization has worked to meet the needs of programs who are unable to have volunteers deliver creative and unique projects that may have been normally available pre-COVID. Now that we have reached post-COVID, we are also fundraising to create an accessable resource for people who may have not been able to attend due the distance they may have had to travel to attend the activity or time restraint due to other programming and project conflicts. Project S.M.A.R.T allows for our organization to reach out and connect with organizations in need of volunteers and creative programs during challenging times and during the planning and implementation phase of renewed and new programming objectives and creative process goals. Our virtual and hybrid activities are innovative, interactive and create a safe space to entertain the creative process while engaging local communities with creative and educational outlets that build community resources and connect people with meaningful art experiences and artist that collaborate with us. We have been able to mobilize in Georgia and across the U.S to create “ A Visual Arts Collaboration” with other non profits,  art organizations and artist who share common interest in out mission and goals.
We participate in both the National Summer Learning Week and Arts in Education Initiates. Every year we live-stream an open studio during the Summer and partner with a studio and arts organization partner/sponsor in the Fall to live stream a live art demonstration. This year’s Georgia Gives Campaign is showcasing the Project S.M.A.R.T Found and Foraged Sound Virtual Open Studio. In 2024, Project S.M.A.R.T will feature Experimental Art and Sound. All money fundraised will go to continued efforts to offer free meaningful art experiences in the community and to pay art facilitators that lead our activities. We also have a need for donations to cover the storage and preservation of the creative art materials produced and used to facilitate activities along with cost of certain textile and art supplies that are used as tools and for displays.
Our organization is also interested in matching grant opportunities as well as work with partners in other community, social justice, wellness, habitat and cultural groups and 501(c)3 Non-Profits.
