Our Mission

The mission of the New Hampshire Master Chorale (NHMC) is to produce passionate choral performances that reach high standards of excellence. Through educational outreach and collaboration, we bring inspiration to our audiences and enrich the cultural community of New Hampshire.

About Us

The New Hampshire Master Chorale is a non-profit choir established in the spring of 2003. This premier chamber ensemble is dedicated to excellence in the art of choral music performance. Members of the group are trained singers, auditioned from throughout New England, who have performed as soloists and in choral ensembles throughout the world.

For sixteen years under the leadership of music director Dan Perkins, the chorus has commissioned more than twenty works by Jonathan Santore, as well as several by Oliver Caplan. Master Chorale has also premiered works by John Ratledge, Gwyneth Walker, and others. The New Hampshire Master Chorale is a featured choir on Santore’s and Perkins’ recent CD There Are Many Other Legends.

Known as a versatile ensemble, the New Hampshire Master Chorale has presented choral orchestral works ranging from Qinisela Sibisi’s Zulu Mass to J.S. Bach’s Mass in B Minor and has collaborated with the Chamber Orchestra of Boston, Opera NH, Plymouth State University, the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, Universidad Nacional de San Antonio Abad del Cusco and Coro del “Jean Tarnawiecki” (Peru), and other organizations.

In 2011, the New Hampshire Master Chorale founded the New Hampshire Children’s Chorus Festival, a space for students in grades 4–6 to come together from across the state to take part in a day of singing. Since its inception, the Festival has hosted more than 1,000 student participants.
