REALMS Middle and High Schools

This fundraiser raises money for Friends of Realms, whose mission is to fund and support Realms Middle and High School in providing experiential opportunities, as well as a rich context to classroom learning. Fieldwork, intensives, and electives are all made possible by the grants that our school receives from Friends of Realms.

At Realms, fieldwork is a vital part of our educational model, blending classroom learning with real-world experience. We engage with local businesses, contribute back to the community in service projects, conduct long-term environmental studies, and apply what we learn in class to practical situations. 

This approach goes beyond traditional learning, emphasizing problem-solving and critical thinking. It's about understanding how our lessons connect to the world outside, preparing us not just academically, but for real-life challenges as well. This makes learning more relevant and engaging, giving us a stronger grasp of how to apply our knowledge in practical contexts.

Realms has a rich tradition of fieldwork and intensives and I am grateful that my school can continue offering these special programs. Students that attend Realms through middle and high school will spend dozens of days outside of the classroom in the field, which is made possible by the generous contributions of community members to Friends of Realms. From the entire Realms community, we are very thankful for anything you are able to contribute towards our fundraising goal.
