San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society

The San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Friends group, authorized by Congress to support the education, interpretation, and research activities of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The SFBWS is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1987. SFBWS is a Friends group (authorized by Congress to support the education, interpretation, and research activities of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service) for the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge Complex, focusing on support for the Complex as a whole and four Refuges in particular: Don Edward San Francisco Bay NWR, Salinas River NWR, Ellicott Slough NWR, and the Farallon Islands NWR.  Thank you for your support. 

The San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society seeks to nurture in the public a sense of understanding, appreciation, and stewardship of the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuges, their natural and cultural history, and to conserve, preserve, and restore bay lands as essential wildlife habitat.
