Formerly known as the Child Abuse Prevention Center, our organization was founded in 1983 by members from Orange County Exchange Clubs and built its foundation on innovative in-home parenting and prevention programs for families at-risk of abuse.

Over the past 35 years, we have grown fro a single volunteer based parent-aide program to a large, diverse organization employing more than 120 professional staff, two-thirds of whom provide direct services to children, their families, young adults and adult clients.

We currently offer 10 programs, each designed to meet specific community needs. We have served over 300,000 children and parents in Orange County, CA. Last year, our programs directly served over 6,000 children and families. Our early intervention programs have a record of strengthening parent-child relationships, working to prevent child abuse before it occurs.

The devastating effects of abuse and trauma can last a lifetime. We believe that by providing our clients with the necessary tools to cope, therapy, and counseling our clients can work through their challenges and contribute towards our mission to end the generational cycle of abuse and trauma.
