Our Mission

yoga4cancer Foundation overall mission is to make evidence-based therapeutic yoga accessible to all cancer patients and survivors regardless of their financial circumstances. 

Funds raised are used to:

• Conduct yoga4cancer classes - free of charge - in underserved areas
• Offer scholarships to professionals to participate in teacher training and certification
• Support research initiatives to strengthen the evidence and case for yoga interventions for cancer patients and survivors
• Provide resources and tools - suchs as books, yoga props, videos and more - to cancer survivors and the trained professionals that serve them
• Broaden awareness of yoga4cancer methodology in the medical community

Yoga has been proven to be an effective tool to manage cancer side effects and improve long term health of cancer survivors. It is imperative that accessibility to these resources is not limited to those that can afford. yoga4cancer Foundation will be there for all cancer survivors, everywhere.

Current Programs:

• yoga4cancer Community Classes - FREE weekly classes to cancer survivors & patients in New York City.
• Lululemon Scholarships - In partnership with Lululemon, we provide scholarships to medical professionals to include yoga in the holistic care for cancer survivors.
• Provide financial support to teachers to offer Free classes in their communities. 
• Research and Tools such as the White Paper, our formal report on the impact of y4c.
