The Youth Garden Project grows food, kids, and community in Moab, UT! We use our garden as a classroom for community members to learn, grow, be inspired, and connect with themselves and others.
Each Kindergarten-Sixth grade student in Grand County School District and the Moab Charter School is engaged in at least one of our educational programs! In addition, Middle School and High School students are learning science, math, and art concepts through experiential lessons at the Youth Garden Project.
For the past year, YGP worked with the Grand County High School lunch program to provide salad greens and other salad bar ingredients for High School lunches. Students help to grow the food that is later being served in their school cafeteria! We hope to expand this program in the coming months and years.
We pride ourselves in offering safe, nurturing, educational, and fun programming for youth. We also strive to provide nourishment for individuals of all ages through healthy food, educational experiences, and community connections.
