Support Compound LB 501c3 - Help us inspire our community through art and wellness

Compound is an artist-led creative and cultural complex fostering the intersection of contemporary art, wellness, and community impact. Compound is based on the belief that  Culture Shifts Consciousness. We aspire to be an accessible, community-oriented “third place” promoting connection, belonging, curiosity, and growth.

Compound is located in the Zaferia Business Improvement District of Long Beach, just off of Anaheim on Coronado Avenue. Our neighborhood is one of the most diverse and vibrant in the city. This location was intentionally chosen to support and strengthen our dynamic and active community. An intergenerational community of artists, practitioners, creators, and thinkers from throughout Long Beach and beyond define the Compound experience.

Compound’s nonprofit endeavors serve the community and make available free and affordable contemporary art exhibitions, immersive experiences, and programs and events such as artist talks, wellness classes, workshops, and community markets.

Our 2025 programming will include food equity and art programs that educate and inspire our local children, youth, and families. Our pilot food equity programs will launch in late Fall 2024 to ensure that everyone has the nourishment they need to live healthy lives.

We see Compound as a safe place for healing, reflection, and healthy connections, affirming and uplifting all who visit. Our dedication of connecting and celebrating the meaningful stories of our community of diverse artists ensures that all we do aligns with our Policy of Belonging.

Compound is dedicated to furthering equity through our Policy of Belonging. This guiding policy outlines Compound’s central commitment to equity, accessibility, and inclusion in all of our programming, and at all levels of the organization

We achieve equity by offering a space where community members can gather under the banner of art. Our goal is to unite the mind, body, and spirit, creating a feeling of profound connection with both self and community.

We gratefully acknowledge that we are on the indigenous sacred ground of the Tongva people and strive to honor this heritage. We embrace differences and encourage dialogue through culture.

We hope you can support Compound and the people-centered work we do each day through a donation at any level. Your tax-deductible donation to Compound will allow us to continue to serve our greater Long Beach community!
