I am deeply committed to Compound because its core values—Compassion, Community, Belonging, Joy, Equity, Authenticity, and Creativity—align profoundly with my own. While each value is important, Authenticity, Joy, and Community resonate with me the most. Authenticity is at the heart of why I joined Compound. The organization genuinely practices what it preaches, which is evident in every project and initiative. Joy is another cornerstone for me; it’s truly fulfilling to work alongside a team dedicated to making a positive impact through art and creativity, especially for youth and individuals with limited access. Seeing the joy that art brings to others is incredibly rewarding. Community is the value that ties everything together. At Compound, we don’t just talk about bringing people together; we actively work towards it. Our commitment to creating inclusive spaces and fostering connections is not just a mission but a daily practice. This dedication to living our values is what I love most about Compound.
