Lancaster Improv Players

Lancaster Improv Players (LIP), founded in 2015, has performed throughout Pennsylvania. In addition to our improv theater home in Lancaster, we’ve performed in Philadelphia, York, Harrisburg, Reading, State College, Lebanon, PA, Baltimore, MD, and New York City.

In 2019, LIP became an independent nonprofit organization and established our first theater in Downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. During the Coronavirus shutdown, we moved to our 35-seat theater at 16 South Prince Street in Downtown Lancaster. LIP house teams perform on our stage weekly. We offer an entertaining mx of long- and short-form improv, crafting an unforgettable experience for the audience!

As we enter our TENTH YEAR, we are fundraising during Extra Give to help us fulfill our mission to make Lancaster a funnier place! 

LIP is more than improv comedy; we are committed to giving back to our community. We continually seek ways to support local initiatives and make a meaningful impact. This dedication has been evident since our early performances and continues through our partnerships and fundraisers for local charities. We support organizations like The Period Project and Free the Tampon by providing access to free menstrual products in our public restrooms.

Lancaster Improv Players has planned the funniest event during Extra Give 2024! From 6 pm to Midnight, We are hosting a mini-festival with some huge comedy acts at Zoetropolis! They are bringing 24 acts to perform over six laugh-packed hours.

Free entrance with ANY donation to ANY organization participating in Extra Give! That’s right, folks...all we are asking is that our audience donate at least $10 to any of the wonderful non-profits fundraising during Extra Give on 11/22!
