🩸Need your help! I am walking to raise money for research and support - for those affected by the rare blood cancer, Waldenstroms macroglobulinemia.
🩸My Dad was diagnosed in 2019 with this lymphoma (WM) that can cause fatigue, night sweats, trouble recovering from infection, peripheral neuropathy, and much more.
🩸I understand now from the inside, working as a Wellness Program Coordinator and Yoga Therapist with the non-profit the IWMF, that because this disease is so rare, there is not much government funding for research and support.
🩸Donations like yours can help the IWMF continue to help those affected by WM live longer, healthier lives...and hopefully someday imagine a world without WM.
🩸To build community, the funds I hope to raise during the rest of September for the IWMF are going to be attributed to my Team - the IWMF Wellness Community - all my WM friends and “students” who join me for classes each week!
🩸In the meantime, Dad is doing well when it comes to WM, and experiencing other challenges in the cancer department.
🩸As his daughter, it’s often frustrating to know what I can do to help - and this is one thing that, though indirect, does feel helpful!
🩸I will be both walking (and missing my hiking partner, my Dad) and donating. Maybe you’d like to do the same. Thank you in advance for your support.
