Julia & Maya's Tour de Streets 2020 Campaign

This year is LivableStreets’ 15th birthday and, as the mother/daughter team leaders we've been for 6 consecutive years now,  we're helping them celebrate with an extra special Tour de Streets!

No, you won't find us out along the banks of the Charles River, decked out in orange and leading a caravan of families and children on bikes per usual. But you will find us out (and in) celebrating this important cause, in memory of those we have lost and those who truly appreciated the value of a "livable street", like my mom/Maya's nana, Lynda Knapp who was known to raise a glass to the declaration of "viva la vida!"

This year, Tour de Streets is taking place in our homes, our backyards -- and most importantly -- on our streets. 

Starting this month (September), LivableStreets' is launching a 15 day Tour Your Streets Campaign, as an opportunity to celebrate the organization's amazing accomplishments over the last 15 years, and to ensure we have the resources to fund the next 15 years of LivableStreets advocacy and inspiration. 

Every day of our 15 day campaign, they'll share a new activity with you. Think treasure hunts. Haiku contests. Maps to explore your neighborhood's hidden gems on foot or bike. We're joining in the fun to support LivableStreets and hope you'll join us!

Sign up by making a personally meaningful donation, and encourage others to donate and join the fun. 

Here's how to participate:

1. Start fundraising and create your own fundraising page or team! Anyone can participate, but those who donate or fundraise will be eligible for additional activities and prizes. 
2. Once you’ve joined the Tour de Streets campaign, you’ll receive daily activity emails starting on September 15th!
3. Share your activities on your fundraising page and on social media -- be sure to tag LivableStreets and use #TourdeStreets2020 and #TourYourStreets to be eligible for prizes! You can also email your submissions to TourdeStreets@livablestreets.info.
4. Join for the closing celebration on September 30th. They’ll be giving out awards, as well as honoring all the support they've received over the past 15 years.
