Join me in supporting the power and leadership of Young People to achieve educational equity!

$1,000 goal

As you may know, I recently became a board member of Californians for Justice (CFJ) - an organization that empowers young people to create and improve schools so all students can thrive. I joined CFJ because I believe in the power of young people to be the center of social justice and educational equity movements.

Californians for Justice organizes marginalized youth, particularly young people of color, immigrant, low-income, and LGBTQ youth to create the healthy, just and vibrant schools all our communities deserve.

In 2020, Californians for Justice youth are fighting to pass Schools and Communities First  - a historic effort to reform Proposition 13 and restore over $11 billion a year for services that all Californians rely on like schools and community colleges, social services, libraries, and health clinics. Conceived and championed by those communities most impacted by decades of disinvestment, Schools and Communities First is one of several opportunities for California for advance bold, long-term structural reforms rooted in equity and inclusion.

Your donation helps CFJ train youth as leaders among their peers, and provides the opportunity for hundreds of young people across the state to make a change in their state, communities, and lives.

As a board member, I have committed to raise $1,000 to help CFJ continue its amazing work and need your help. Funding from this event is essential to support youth advocacy efforts around the state. If just 20 of my friends donate $50, I will reach my goal but any and all donations help.

Thanks you in advance for your kind and generous support!

With gratitude,

Jessenia
