Hi-Vis Safety Vests

The department is in need of new hi-vis safety vests.  These vests are a required to be worn at all incidents on public roads. They are essential as they increase the visibility of the responders to motorists passing the scene. The design of the vests allow them to fit over the turnout coat worn at all incidents. Each vest has a breakaway feature which allows the vest to pull apart should it become hung up. This prevent the person wearing it from potentially being dragged or hooked onto objects.  Once pulled apart the vest easily goes back together through Velcro enclosures. The Williamsburg Firefighters Association is looking to purchase 20 vests which are $25 each.
