Everyone needs a home. I’m sleeping out in solidarity with the Shalom Center on April 26 to highlight and raise funds for this vital community agency serving our residents experiencing homelessness. Finding a place to live in Bloomington can be hard, whether you rent or buy. At the City, we're increasing affordable options for people from all walks of life. so that the folks who make Bloomington Bloomington can find a place to call home in the city they work so hard for. And we're looking at the reasons why people find themselves homeless and working to tackle them, by growing jobs, addressing behavioral health issues, and enhancing public safety. Until we can get everyone in safe, decent housing, the City helps fund the Shalom Center for the invaluable service it provides. But we're counting on our residents' help to fund A Friend's Place through another year. Please pledge your support for this Solidarity Sleepout so that more Bloomingtonians can sleep well at night.
