The global climate emergency is quickly becoming the greatest threat to human rights and humankind. The need to shift away from fossil fuels and decarbonize our energy system has never been more urgent.
At the same time, millions of people are at risk of being driven from their homes, land and livelihoods to make way for the extraction of bauxite, cobalt and other minerals needed to support a clean energy transition.
That’s why Inclusive Development International is ramping up our work defending the rights of communities living in the path of mining and energy projects, while doubling down on our efforts to stop the flow of money to new fossil fuel infrastucture.
Make a donation today to help us continue our research, casework and policy advocacy in pursuit of a just and rights-respecting energy transition. Your support will allow us to:
- Investigate and fight back against the corporations and financial institutions that enable harmful energy and extractive projects.
- Help communities develop and execute advocacy strategies to demand a seat at the decision-making table and a share in the benefits of energy transition projects that affect their lives.
- Expand our “Follow the Money” training program and resources to increase the number of advocates who are equipped to effectively hold mining and energy companies accountable.
- Advance stronger human rights regulations in mineral supply chains.
Perpetuating the same old destructive development model of the fossil fuel era in pursuit of climate solutions is unjust and unsustainable. It would ultimately fail, but not before ruining countless lives and wreaking havoc on the natural world. We can't let that happen.
Join us in demanding a just and equitable energy transition.
