Rebuilding Together Boston is a community revitalization partner that values the complexity of supporting the health and vitality of a neighborhood while working in alliance with other partners. We know that helping neighbors in need with critical home repairs helps maintain affordable housing, builds generational wealth, and sustains economically diverse and vibrant communities.

Our work is focused on supporting safe and healthy housing for all. Families with fewer financial resources are more likely to experience unsafe and unhealthy housing conditions. We believe that a person’s zip code should not be more predictive of overall health status than his or her genetic code. The homeowners we serve want to stay in the homes that they love and cherish and with your help, we make that possible.

Karla, is just one example of a homeowner RTB has helped. A proud Dorchester resident, Karla has a degenerative spinal condition and has not been able to work for the past year. She has been working through the pain the past 13 years in social services with a focus on working with families with various challenges including mental health, social, and environmental issues. Her medical bills have eaten into her savings and due to both finances and chronic pain, she is unable to do any of the work herself. When Rebuilding Together Boston spoke to her, she said “You have made my year! You reminded me of why I love Boston."

Karla reached out to Rebuilding Together Boston and with our great partner, Vertex Pharmaceutical, we made Karla’s home healthier and safer.

Please support our annual campaign so we can help more of our neighbors.
