Building Our Future

The Barranca Mesa PTO will have one major fundraiser for the 2018/19 school

year. The PTO annually relies on its fundraisers to support Barranca Mesa Elementary  in such areas as: the science fair, field trips for every classroom in the school, playground improvements, teacher classroom stipends, staff appreciation yearly gifts, the sixth grade promotion ceremony, the LAHS Senior Scholarship, technology equipment throughout the school, art supplies for the art classroom, and it attempts to assist in all requests that come from teachers. As we build a new school the PTO will also be involved in assisting in the transitional needs.

The PTO relies on the support of the community of Barranca Mesa Elementary to make this happen. Given the major construction project we are undertaking this year, we will not hold the Bobcat Bolt or end of the year Bobcat Bonanza carnival. We will be holding a year long “Building Our Future” fundraiser. Which will mean students are not being asked to sell anything and it also means all donations are tax deductible as they are counted as a donation to a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit

organization.

Keeping to the theme of construction, we will put up a paper brick in the hallways for each $25 donation with the donors name in the brick. We are also working on a permanent donor display.

Our goal is to raise $15,000. Of course we would love to raise more as that will mean we can help in a greater capacity.
