For most expectant parents, the months leading up to birth are filled with joy and anticipation. But not every pregnancy goes as planned. Far too often, families find themselves in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), an unfamiliar world of monitors, tubes, and uncertainty.

Amidst the challenges, stories of resilience and hope shine through. These moms, who once faced the NICU, now share their journeys to support others walking the same path.

Cari & Chip’s Story: Chip was born at just 27 weeks and spent 141 days in the NICU, much of it on a ventilator. For Cari and her family, those machines were more than equipment, they gave them time. Time for Chip’s lungs to heal. Time to hold him. Time to bring him home.

Every baby deserves that chance. Advanced ventilators make it possible.

Chelsea & Brooks Story: Brooks arrived at 29 weeks, weighing 2 lbs. 8 oz. During his 52-day NICU stay, he overcame feeding challenges, infections, and even mild brain bleeding. Today, he’s thriving in pre-K.

He is shown here with his 'Beads of Bravery' that symbolize all that he endured throughout his 52 days in the NICU/Special Care Nursery. Chelsea remembers countless hours spent holding Brooks in a mobile rocker recliner, one of the most critical needs for NICU families.

Hannah & Walt’s Story: Walt was born at 30 weeks weighing just 2 lbs. 2 oz. Skin-to-skin contact was vital for his growth and healing, made possible by upgraded recliners that allowed Hannah to keep him close, even while connected to monitors.

Stephanie & Eloise’s Story:Eloise arrived at 32 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. For 48 days, her parents stayed by her side, supported by lactation recliners that gave them space to feed, pump, and bond. Eloise’s Beads of Bravery now tell the story of every hurdle she overcame.

Sophie & Aaron’s Story: When Aaron was in the NICU at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas, every day felt fragile. What gave us strength was holding him close—skin to skin—while sitting in the rocker recliner chairs by his bedside. Those rocker recliners gave my husband and I a way to bond with our tiny baby and gave Aaron the comfort he needed to grow into the thriving, energetic 5½-year-old he is today. Supporting the NICU means making sure every family has that same chance to connect, heal, and hope. Donations go directly toward essentials like those rocker recliners that truly make all the difference in the word.
