Shannon's NYC Marathon fundraising page!

Hi friends!! I am part of a team running the 2024 New York City Marathon and raising money for Dylan's Wings of Change, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to the memory of Dylan Hockley, one of the first grade victims of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

The foundation created Wingman, an experiential learning based program that fosters empathy and connection among participants. Schools enrolled in Wingman cover a portion of the program costs to ensure their commitment and engagement.

Your donations ensure that every school can join Wingman regardless of budget. 

Dylan’s Wings of Change is rooted in the butterfly effect; that small changes can have a profound impact. Their mission aligns with my personal values as they spread the message that anyone can be a leader, small changes add up, and most importantly- everybody matters.

This opportunity means so much to me as a parent, teacher, and runner. I truly believe that training for and running a marathon is a special journey; and am so grateful to be able to do it in my favorite city for this incredible organization.
