What is Tread? Tread is a fundraiser involving walking and running for our global mission partners that our church supports. After hearing them speak about the life changing work we were inspired to help raise funds by running in the Tulip Time run with the Tread group this May! This will be our 2nd annual race to support Tread. In certain places thousands of children lack access to basic needs, including things as simple as shoes, food, and education. As a result, there is an entire generation of children filled with the potential to do great things waiting for the opportunity to develop a brighter future. On Saturday, May 1, 2021 Engedi and the West Michigan community will come together through Tread, an annual partnership with the Tulip Time Run (virtually) to raise $ to help kids gain traction. Any little bit helps!
In Guatemala and Nepal, thousands of children lack access to basic needs, including things as simple as shoes and health care. As a result, there is an entire generation of children filled with the potential to do great things waiting for the opportunity to develop a brighter future.
On Saturday, May 1, Engedi and the West Michigan community will come together through Tread, an annual partnership with the Tulip Time Run (virtual). Sign up to run or volunteer in Tread, raise $100, and help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 to help kids gain traction.
Tread isā¦
Shoes for kids in Guatemala.
Guatemala is still feeling the effects of a 36-year-long civil war. 54% of the population lives below the poverty line. Many kids canāt afford shoes, which means they canāt go to school.
Our partner, Pray America, employs local cobblers at their Manos de Jesus shoe factory who make shoes for children in Guatemala.
Medical care for kids in Nepal.
Nepal, home to the Himalaya Mountains, is one of the least developed countries in the world. Over half of children in this area will die before the age of 8 due to severe medical, social, educational, and environmental challenges. MountainChild provides access to medical care for kids and families in greatest need from remote Himalayn areas.
We would love your support & partnership in anyway you are able to help by: volunteering at this event, joining a Tread team yourself, or financially contributing through the link in the page. Thank you SO much for kindness and compassion <3 Best, Jenny & Tim
