stop the cat overpopulation problem in Long Beach by providing free spay and neuter in Long Beach

$130

raised by 4 people

$500 goal

Since 2016, my family and I have made it our mission to stop euthanasia of underage, orphaned kittens in Long Beach.

A popular belief about our shelter system is that those adorable, tiny kittens will be safe, taken care of and adopted out if taken to an animal shelter.. and unfortunately, that is not the case. In fact, most kittens under 8 weeks of age are euthanized upon intake or on the same day. the Little Lion Foundation is the very first rescue in Long Beach, California to point our main focus on saving the lives of these innocent, fragile beings.

In 2019 we opened the areas only kitten nursery, allowing us to save THOUSANDS of kitten lives every year. And in 2021 we launched our targeted TNR (trap-neuter-return) program and spay/neutered over a thousand cats through this program alone.

This year, we will be opening our very own Spay/ neuter clinic in house dedicated to stopping the cat overpopulation problem in the city of Long Beach. Once fully operational we will be spay and neutering 60-150 cats every week!

Please consider supporting our cause! Your donation will go directly towards getting our clinic up and running and saving more cats and kittens in our city!
