Alliance for Equity in Montessori Education (AEME) was founded with a commitment to improve access to high-quality early childhood education for children ages 3 to 6 in communities that are under-served and under-resourced. 

This year

Your gift helps our tuition-free East Portland program, Alder Montessori, deliver the best possible education to its 40 students during Covid-19 restrictions. Our classroom staff and students use new technology provided by our donors, grants, and community partners to connect for daily virtual classes, while our team regularly delivers beautiful lesson materials, books, and school supplies to each child's doorstep. 

We are partnering with neighborhood schools, community leaders, and other non-profits to put high quality early learning programs where they’re needed most. 

Together we are moving forward to open new, tuition-free Montessori classrooms to help our next generation of students grow into curious, compassionate, and joyful learners.
