Greetings!

Yes, it’s sort-of wild, but I’ve actually wanted to pedal a bike across Iowa for a while now!   Three years ago, I got a bike, got myself ready, and then a last minute injury kept me off my bike seat, and on my sofa.  Frustrated & mad--I even sold my bike L

But this year--I’m back.I’m training.  I scored an awesome new bike.  And, I joined TEAM ALMA—it’s a great group of people, biking for an incredible cause. I’m raring to go!

I’m asking for your support—both moral & financial support.

Moral support to cheer me on through 411 miles of Iowa heat, headwinds & cornfields.   Go Theresa Go, works for me!

Financial support because TEAM ALMA is biking to raise funds to end domestic violence and create peaceful change in families.   I’m asking you to become a sponsor of my ride – whatever you can afford, 1 cent a mile (20.50), 10 cents a mile ($41.10), $1 a mile ($411), or anything in between!

Pedaling a bike across Iowa is a daunting idea, and I’m definitely riding to challenge myself.

I’m also riding to support the work of my long-time high school friend Terri Strodthoff, who started the Alma Center.  She & I have had loads of laughs over the years, and I expect we’ll have a few more as we pitch our tents in farm fields and backyards across Iowa.

But look at us now, all grown up, and committed to making a difference in the world.

I want children to grow up in loving and peaceful families.  I know what a difference this makes.  I believe in this very important work, and I ask you to join me in supporting the Alma Center to break the cycle of violence. .

I’ll be posting regular Facebook updates on our ride--so this would be a great opportunity to lend me your moral support ……please!!

With deepest gratitude,

Theresa
