Kitchen Table Advisors’ work is deeply personalized to support each individual client, shaped by the relationship we build from the moment we begin working together. There is no prescribed path. And it is often not glamorous, but like most significant change, the daily wins and quiet shifts in perspective can make all the difference.  

Here is an example of how your support creates a lasting impact:

• A KTA advisor travels to meet one-on-one with the farmer (at their kitchen table!). The farmer shares how they always feel like cash is tight and all they want is a moment of relief.
• Together, they build a system for tracking the farm’s finances, translating a shoebox full of receipts into a spreadsheet (or a notebook, or Quickbooks, whatever works for them).
• From there, the farmer, with support from their advisor, can begin to build a cash flow projection to estimate how much cash they’ll have on hand at any given time over the next year.  
• The farmer’s constant anxiety about the farm’s cash situation begins to ease, and they are able to make strategic business decisions, and build towards a more well-distributed cash flow.
• One of these decisions may be to invest in materials that will enable them to test out no-till techniques to sequester more carbon in the soil. Or to give their employees a year-end bonus to thank them for all their hard work.
