Jason’s Solidarity Sleepout for Shalom

On Friday, April 26th, I'm sleeping outside so others won't have to.  Shalom's Friend's Place shelter is so important for people in Monroe County.  The shelter needs our help to be there for people when they need us the most. Would you consider helping me help others find their way home?

As someone who has experienced homelessness three times in my adult life, I know that it’s not always a choice an individual makes that lands them without a home.  The truth of the matter is that many of us are only one life altering event away from becoming homeless.  Things like a major medical condition of a family member, divorce, or loss of employment are enough to destabilize even the most prepared individuals.

I also know that I would not be where I am today without the help of others who offered assistance and devoted the time, energy, and effort to helping me be the best me I could be.  

Any amount you can offer would be greatly appreciated and go a long way to helping someone who deep down is just like you.
