Help Support LGBTQ+ Youth in Crisis

I work at Ozone House and am passionate about serving young people who are in crisis and experiencing homelessness. 

Did you know that up to 40% of youth who are homeless identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Questioning. These youth are at higher risk than their peers for bullying, violence, exploitation, and discrimination. The Trevor Project’s 2019 reports states that more than half of transgender and non-binary youth have seriously considered suicide and 71% of LGBTQ+ respondents have reported feeling sad and hopeless for at least two weeks in the past year.

Since 1969, Ozone House has actively developed unique, high-quality housing and support programs and services that provide support, intervention, training, and assistance to runaway, homeless, and high-risk youth and their families. Your gift will help Ozone House’s work specifically with local LGBTQ+ youth in crisis. It will benefit their 24 hour Crisis Line and PrideZone, a weekly support group and safe place for LGBTQ+ youth to build community and access services. Because of people like you, Ozone House ensures young people receive ongoing care from Ozone's professional counselors, case managers, and youth specialists who work to make certain they have the resources they need to avoid homelessness and secure a better future. All young people deserve to be safe, celebrated, supported and loved!
