Simply put, playing for Israel gives me a sense of pride that goes far beyond the field.  Every time we play as Israel it is an opportunity to not only represent the nation but our heritage and culture which has been through so much throughout history. Being a part of an organization and team that can help provide another level of pride to the Israeli and Jewish communities is something that is extremely meaningful, especially given the current social climate in the world.

The work Israel lacrosse has done to grow the game and enrich the lives of the communities it is in is extremely impactful and it is an honor to help contribute in any fashion.

My relationship with Judaism has been a cultural one more than a religious one for a majority of my life. I grew up in a reformed household and would attend Sunday school and services very regularly leading up to my Bar Mitzvah. As I grew older, truthfully, the religious aspects of Judaism began to take a lesser role in my life. Despite always having a large sense of pride and appreciation for my religious and cultural heritage, during my high school and college years, my religious involvement stopped and ended at the high holidays.

When I went to Israel last summer that changed. Being able to explore Israel and reconnect with that aspect of my life was extremely powerful and while I can still not say I am the most religious person, my connection to Judaism and Israel have been revitalized and will only continue to grow.
