From 2012-2015, Eric played lacrosse for the University of Albany. This summer, he started his international career, bringing his talents to Israel for the Israel Premier Lacrosse League (IPLL) in the summer for Sderot, putting up two goals during the season. He traveled back to America for the national team’s fall tour, facing off against Johns Hopkins, Boston University, Towson, the Iroquois Nationals, the United States and his alma mater Albany.
In His Own Words
1. What does playing for Israel mean to you?
Playing for Israel means a lot to me. I get the opportunity to represent the only Jewish state in the world at one of lacrosse’s biggest stages in Israel and teach lacrosse to people who have never heard of the game.
2. Talk about your personal connection to Israel.
After staying in Israel this past summer, I have a strong personal connection to the country. Aside from going to the synagogue back home, it was the first time I’ve ever been in a place where the majority of people are Jewish. It is also the first time my whole team is Jewish as I am usually the only oe one of the few Jewish players on teams in the U.S.
