$3,500 goal

I am honored to be selected as part of a team running the 2024 New York City Marathon and raising money for Dylan's Wings of Change, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to the memory of Dylan Hockley, one of the first grade victims of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

The foundation created Wingman, an experiential learning based program that fosters empathy and connection among participants. Schools enrolled in Wingman cover a portion of the program costs to ensure their commitment and engagement. They are part of a larger organization called Sandy Hook Promise whose mission is to end school shootings and create a culture change that prevents violence and other acts that harm children. Their Know the Signs programs and sensible, bipartisan school and gun safety legislation, teach youth and adults to recognize, intervene, and get help for individuals who may be socially isolated or at risk of hurting themselves or others. Start with Hello, S.A.V.E., Promise Clubs, and Say Something Anonymous Reporting System are all tools managed by Sandy Hook Promise and available, at no cost, to all schools, communities and families.

About 3500 children die in gun related incidents every year. The shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia a few weeks ago marks the 45th school shooting in 2024. Children and teens are more likely to die by guns than anything else. Enough is enough! Through donations like yours, we can continue to support these lifesaving programs and reach more youth. Please help me reach my goal with your donation today.

Your donations ensure that every school can join Wingman regardless of budget. Thank you!
