Lakes Region Community Developers is currently renovating 658 Union Avenue in Laconia to transform it into a group home for women in recovery called Compass House. We need to raise $3,000 by December 15th to close a gap in the project budget for furnishings. Your donation today will ensure that Compass House opens as scheduled in February 2020.
Compass House will be a supportive congregate living environment for up to eight women of low income who have completed residential treatment for substance use disorder. Horizons Counseling Center will operate Compass House, and each guest at Compass House will be paired with a trained recovery coach from Navigating Recovery of the Lakes Region.
Many women in recovery in our community, especially women of low income, do not have access to a safe, affordable, and supportive housing option. We know that when a person in recovery lives in a supportive environment like Compass House, she is much more likely to stay in recovery. Compass House will fill a long-standing gap in recovery supports in the Lakes Region. Your contribution today will ensure that Compass House has the furnishings needed to open as soon as renovations are complete.
Thank you for your support!
