Crystal's Turning Dreams Into Possibilities

As the Director of Program Operations at Southwest Center for the Developmentally Disabled, I’ve seen firsthand how Give for Good Louisville funds transform lives. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone reach their dream—whether it’s living independently, taking their very first vacation, landing a job that brings pride and joy, or simply learning to navigate life with confidence while making lasting friendships. These milestones aren’t just “nice moments.” They’re life-changing experiences made possible by SWC’s programs and the generosity of supporters like you. I believe deeply in SWC as The Center of Possibilities because I’ve seen dreams come true here—and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together this year!

Last year, we were able to help Jason get his first apartment, where he will be living alone with the assistance of technology. Seeing how excited he was, and hearing him let out a YAY! when he got the keys, was one of my favorite things this year. Living independently is a dream Jason has that we were able to make happen.
