Hello, I'm Jesse Resnick and I am a member of the Jewish Teen Foundation. I feel grateful for being apart of this organization. Last year I joined JTF to better my community and learn important skills to have the knowledge later in life to make a difference in my life and in others. I've learned so much over the course of my time participating in JTF and I am excited to help combat social issues again. What inspires me to help solve social change is bettering someone else's life who may not be as fortunate as myself.
We are reaching out to our prospective grantees to learn more about their pressing needs during this challenging time. I am ready to assist and help people in my near-by community through JTF fundraising and beyond. I will strive to try and help out as best as I can by making a difference at the local level in areas that need it. Especially in a time like the present, it is important to help ourselves and others who made need it.
The Jewish Teen Foundation is committed to supporting organizations/initiatives that provide direct services and preventative measures to ensure people affected by domestic violence will be physically and mentally safe.
Here are a few statistics to further ground how serious of an issue domestic violence is:
1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men will experience severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime. (CDC, 2017)
Intimate partner violence alone affects more than 12 million people every year. (NISVS, 2011)
With your help, we can assist people in need here and far. This mighty cause page hopefully can inspire you to donate to this cause, and help combat a growing issue. All amounts are greatly appreciated. The deadline for donations is April 15, 2021 and you can email me at jesseresnick04@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to learn further about people affected by domestic violence.
Thank you.
