PrIDA Moves LGBTQI People to Safety

If you've not heard it yet - take this opportunity to hear from Amin - who fled Chechnya. He was one of the lucky ones.

Right now, you could be arrested in 70 countries, simply for being who you are. Rainbow Railroad exists to assist LGBTQI people facing violence or persecution perpetrated by governments -- and even their own communities.

Rainbow Railroad brought Amin to safety after he spent weeks being tortured by Chechen authorities. Unfortunately, his story is just one of hundreds of others we move each year from imminent danger. Because of the difficult and often traumatic situations they face, very few can come forward. 

Imagine that the government is after you - but you also cannot return to your own family.

During the global pandemic, LGBTQI people around the world are facing even more challenges. In 2020 alone, we've received 1,158 requests for assistance, so our goal for the July 21 event is $1 for each of those.
