Did you know that more than 43 million Americans struggle with mental illness? Or that 56% of American adults with mental illness did not receive care in the last year?

While mental health is not an issue that can be tackled overnight,  by combatting stigmas and providing aid to people in need we can begin to take steps in the right direction.

This past year I joined The Jewish Teen Foundation (JTF), which is a program that teaches teens how to create social change through philanthropy. My team members and I have worked together to choose a specific population (individuals struggling with their mental health), learned about the needs and issues, researched and vetted organizations, and ultimately will award grants to mission and values-aligned nonprofits from the funds we raise.

Our mission statement is: The Jewish Teen Foundation South Board is committed to supporting individuals struggling with mental health through organizations/initiatives that further access to quality mental health care and combat social stigma.

As a member of JTF it is my mission to fight the stigma and help ensure everyone has the opportunity to access the mental health services they need and deserve.

Be a part of the difference. Donate today! I hope that you can join me in my mission. Any contribution is greatly appreciated, as everything helps.

Please donate by our deadline of April 10th, 2023.  If you have any questions, please reach out to me at

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about mental health and for your kind donation!
