We're looking forward to sending you pictures or a video when Oleg and Yulia buy a car. The latest news is this: They've been consulting with car dealers and friends and they are leaning toward purchasing two smaller cars instead of a big van. I don't blame them. A van big enough to accommodate the entire family would be impractical for everyday driving. The fact is, they rarely need a vehicle large enough for the entire family. If they go on a family vacation they usually take a train or hire a transportation service. What they really need is the ability to run errands every day and to shuttle kids to school and extracurricular functions. To that end, they are shopping and trying to figure out what works best within their budget (your $10k gift plus their own savings). We'll update you as soon as they make a purchase.
Oleg and Yulia are awesome parents! They have two kind-hearted daughters of their own but felt called to become foster parents. Three years ago they moved to their new home at the invitation of a local church so they could pursue God's call. They partner with the church and a German ministry that built the home. Two years ago they began receiving children.
Social Services has placed 8 children in their home including a sibling group of 6 advocated for by Shade for Children for the past two years.
The family is complete.
They have a great home and a great church family.
What they don't have is transportation!
That's where you come in. You can be a hero to this heroic family by helping them purchase a reliable vehicle for emergencies and errands.
Can you imagine walking and carrying groceries for ten children? Can you imagine not having your own transportation if there was an emergency? Can you imagine always being dependent on someone else for any transportation needs?
Олег та Юлія - чудові батьки! У них є дві неймовірно доброзичливі доньки, але відчули поклик стати прийомними батьками. Вже три роки як вони переїхали в свій новий будинок на запрошення місцевої церкви для того, щоб здійснити своє покликання. Вони являються партнерами церкви та місії з Німеччини, яка збудувала будинок для них. Два роки тому вони почали приймати дітей в свою сім`ю.
Соціальні служби помістили 8 дітей в іхньому домі, включаючи 6 дітей з однієї родини, за яких протягом останніх двох років заступалась "Тінь для дітей".
Сім'я укомплектована.
У них чудовий дім і чудова церковна сім’я.
Чого у них немає, так це транспорту!
