Providing a Critical Connection to Gardening and Nature - At No Cost
The financial toll for people living with disabilities is real. Through your generous donations Trellis can continue to offer our garden therapy programs to the disability community FREE OF CHARGE!.
Trellis and its dedicated staff & volunteers have worked tirelessly over the last year to complete the Ability Garden at Callanwolde - the Atlanta metro area's ONLY interactive wheelchair-accessible garden. The Ability Garden exists to improve the lives of people living with the challenges of disability by providing a critical connection to plants, nature experiences, and to others in a fun and engaging social setting.
This year Trellis also designed and completed the Royal DIGnity Garden that serves elders with dementia attending Royal Adult Day Services in Stone Mountain, GA. With your continued support, funds raised during GA Gives Day will provide scholarship funds for youth and adults to attend the following Ability Garden programs:
- Shepherd Center Wellness Clinics serving people with brain & spinal cord injury
- Green Growers serving middle and high school youth with autism
- Gather and Grow offers horticulture and socializing for adults with spinal cord injury
- Stroke Survivor's Monthly Gardening Therapy Group
- The Veteran's Garden for former military servicemen living with post traumatic stress
WITH YOUR SUPPORT WE CAN CHANGE THE LIVES OF OTHERS!
